Our Story: Unifying the Montessori Voice in Texas

Texas Education and Advocacy for Montessori (TEAM) is the culmination of decades of dedicated advocacy across the Lone Star State. In 2021, a passionate group of Montessorians began a series of statewide town halls, one-on-one meetings, and intensive data collection to determine how best to serve our community.

The consensus was clear: Texas needed a sustainable, unified organization to advocate for our children, teachers, and schools.

We formally incorporated as a nonprofit to create a permanent home for this work. Today, TEAM serves as the collective voice for Texans, ensuring that the principles of Montessori education are understood and protected at the state level.

As an inclusive and diverse group of advocates, we are working toward a future where every family that desires a Montessori education has equitable access to outstanding Montessori experiences.
